Golden Growers is based an intergenerational, garden-program that supports the healthful aging of seniors and youth through increased physical activity, nutritional education, and access to healthy food.

Classroom lectures introduced seniors to the fundamental principles and practices of sustainable agriculture, while the hands-on lab sessions provide seniors with hands-on experiences that reinforce classroom discussions.  Seniors were then prepared to teach that information to students.

Children learn from the wealth of wisdom and experience of their elders, while preserving heritage, and seniors benefit from the vigor and innovation of the youth.
